Scotty Bowers ran a gay/lesbian prostitution ring for Hollywood stars in the golden days of Hollywood! Bowers set up gay sex trysts for some of the iconic Hollywood stars of yesteryear. He's written a tell-all book and there's a new documentary out in theaters now called "Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood" (see Deadline and Rotten Tomatoes) about all the gay whoring going on with the major and not-so-major stars. Scotty Bowers still lives at 95 in Los Angeles. Of all places, Bowers used a gas station for the stars to pick up their tricks Scotty chose for them -- or they screwed handsome former Marine Scotty himself. The notorious gas station was kept hush-hush for years.
"What makes Scotty the film especially fascinating is how much Bowers' story confounds whatever bias one might have about the golden age of Hollywood. If you'd believed the heteronormative mythmaking that Hollywood's biggest stars were paragons of clean living and straight sex, welp, it turns out Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy weren't exactly made for each other -- they were both gay."

ROTTEN TOMATOES describes the film:
"Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood" is the deliciously scandalous story of Scotty Bowers, a handsome ex-Marine who landed in Hollywood after the Second World War and became confidante, aide de camp and lover to many of Hollywood's greatest male--and female-stars. In the 1940s and '50s, he ran a gas station in the shadow of the studio lots where he would connect his band of friends from the military with those who had to hide their true sexual identities from the public. An unsung Hollywood legend, Bowers would cater to the sexual appetites of celebrities - straight, gay and omnivorous - for decades. In 2012, he finally spilled his secrets in the bestselling memoir "Full Service," which revealed a dramatic counter-narrative on Hollywood's Golden Age. While the studio PR machines were promoting their stars as hetero, wholesome, and monogamous, Bowers was fulfilling their true desires.
