Loneliness is #1 Crisis in America

Sasse writes in his new book that cultural divisions are leaving the nation less happy, with a "crippling" sense of loneliness unlike previous generations.

"The average American in 1990 had 3.2 friends, today [it's] 1.8. Forty percent of people have either zero or one confidant. That hurts," he said.

Senator Sasse was interviewed on "The View"
